Olympic Torch - Charlie Young a Playback listener from Canada, who just happens to be the uncle of our own Derek Young, recently spoke to the person taking the Winter Olympic Torch through his part of Canada.

Frank Duffie - In this months magazine we are speaking to a number of visually impaired people who have taken the challenge of employment in jobs that may need that extra challenge. Frank Duffie is now responsible for Bankie Talk talking newspaper and many other services provided by them including young peoples magazines read by the local schools. Bobbie Simpson - Bobbie Simpson lost his sight due to a car accident. After re-training he managed to get back to employment with Polaroid in Alexandria who at that time made cameras. Apart from that he is the driving force behind the Rockvale Rebound Talking Newspaper, He tells Derek his story.

The Taking of the Stone of Destiny as told by Ian Hamilton QC - The story of the removal of the Stone of Destiny from Westminster Abbey has been told in books and on film. One of those involved in the plot was Ian Hamilton QC. In July 2009 he gave a talk in the Elgin Library. This is part of the talk where he tells his story about the removal of the stone from the Abbey. Our thanks to Pauline and Alan who sent us the recording.
