40 Years of BBC Radio Scotland
Peter and John talk about BBC Radio Scotland which this month celebrates its 40th birthday. Playback has a close link to BBC Radio Scotland as our original Producer and teacher of many of the volunteers was a Studio Manager with the BBC. Over the years we have been lucky enough to have many presenters from the BBC working for Playback. These include James O'Hara, Alasdair Hutton, Ken Lindsay, Alma Cadzow and of course John Cavanagh. Peter has a chat with John about his involvement with the station.
From our archive Mary McConville talked to Ken Bruce who was about to continue working for BBC Radio Scotland but was offered a job with BBC radio 2. His daily programme is still going strong today.
Off The Ball
Gordon Luke talked to Stuart Cosgrove and Tam Cowan about their programme Off The Ball which is still a staple of Saturdays on Radio Scotland.
Welcome back to David who has missed a couple of months.
